Mark Robertson Visit
Mark Robertson visited Year 6 where he talked to the children about his illustrations and shared some of the work in his sketchbooks with them. Then, the children came up with creative ideas for a new character that he designed and drew right in front of them!
Our Year 5 Work...
National Book Week
Our week began with a BANG, when our classroom was transformed into a circus tent! The mouth-watering scent of popcorn filled the room, and lively music filled our ears. We did this to set the scene for our focus text, Leon and the Place Between, written by Angela McAllister and Graham Baker Smith. We rewrote parts of the story, focusing on creating imagery for the reader. We also visited our local library, where we go the chance to read an array of exciting books , as well as having a special visitor called Miss Tugood, who did some Drama with us based on another fabulous book called Rosie Revere, Engineer. |
